Drawn material

Cold-drawn or blank steels are mainly suitable for metal cutting processing, the most important feature is high dimensional accuracy, which allows that the finished part does not requiry any further machining.

Among the fields of application there are metalware production, manufacturing of vehicle components, production of products with high aesthetic requirements (e.g. shopping trolleys, grid constructions, shelves, furnitures, decoration components).

According to production there are two different categories:

The advantage of the drawing procedure is that it strengthens the strength properties, while increasing machinability, while during scraping with the removal of the surface decarbonization layer the material will be more homogeneous in its cross-section. A further advantage of rolled products is that their mechanical properties remain unchanged.
